Another astonishing thing from Ben

On Friday afternoon (Sept 2), I was standing on Laurie's driveway with her. She was holding Ben, who turned 2 in June, and she said to Ben "See Dana's necklace?" Ben put his finger on my necklace and said "Baby in there".

This is the necklace that I got after Jacob died. It is heart shaped and has his name engraved on one side and baby footprints engraved on the other.

Laurie and I stared at each other in astonishment and I felt so close to Jacob in that moment. I love it when things like that happen.

I've been feeling really down today. It has been a rough, rough day.

That's just so sweet. I would have dissolved into a big puddle of tears on the spot.

I wish you didn't have to understand exactly how I feel, but since we can't change it, it's nice to have you there with me.

Sorry you are having a bad day.

Not everyone believes like I do - but I've always thought we come from heaven and we will return to heaven someday. So maybe Ben has some sort of memory or impression of heaven that we have fogotton - since we've been on earth for so much longer than he has. And obviously he has some sort of special connection with Jacob.

Sending prayers that tomorrow will be a better day!

((Big Hugs))

Ahhh that is AMAZING. Here's a quick story for you: My mom died in 2002 from cancer. My older brother spent the three years before that trying unsuccessfully to have a baby so mom could have a grandchild before she died. Of course they got pregnant about a year after she died. Well, my nephew was still an infant, like, maybe 8 or 9 months old, and I was carrying him and walking him around the house. There was a wall of picture frames, we were walking slowly past it. Suddenly, my nephew wrenches forward and grabs a picture of my mom- and kisses it. We all just about peed ourselves with shock! I KNEW my nephew knew mom somehow.

That is a beautiful necklace! I love the footprints on it. I find the mind of a child so amazing, so uninhibited. They aren't jaded yet and I really believe that they feel the energies that we, adults, don't sometimes...you are blessed to have that little guy...he will always keep Jacob close to you.
